NEW ITEMS FOR YOUR MARKETING IDEAS

The new items you offer serve as a welcome introduction for the affiliate marketing programs materials he has seen before. Each of these mailings will result in more orders, bringing in additional profits and further increasing your income.
Eventually you will want to further increase your orders, and to do this you must get more potential customers to respond to your ads. This means you will have to write new ads describing one or more of your new items. Your old ads will still be running of course, but now you will have two or more different classified ads appearing in some or all of the periodicals you are using, under the same or different classifications. This ensures that more people will see and respond to your ads.
The new classified ads for additional items should be keyed to identify the affiliate marketing programs publication. You should also key these ads to identify the particular ad which prompted each inquiry. The results show pulling power for ads for different items and can serve as a guide to the type of items your readers are interested in. This information assists you in choosing additional items to add to your product line. You will also use this information to determine when it is time to drop an item from your line, having a close-out sale if you have money in stock when interest begins to lag.
It will rarely pay to run separate classified ads for each item in your line. Use affiliate marketing programs classified ads only for those which seem to have the greatest reader interest and which have high profit margins. Advertise your biggest sellers in your classified ads. Let your direct mail sales messages sell the rest.
When considering whether to devote a separate classified ad to a new item, decide whether it would pay its way if it was your only source of income. If it will, you should probably advertise it separately. If it won’t it should not be separately advertised since it is incapable of paying its own way and producing enough income to give you a suitable profit. However, due to the low cost of your mailing piece inserts it can be introduced to your customers in this way and will bring in additional income.
Tie-in sales messages included as part of your normal reply to inquiries are automatically controlled through operation of the filing system. No additional control is needed, although you might wish to keep track of inquiries prompted by new classified ads if these have been keyed by product as well as periodical. This is accomplished by use of charts.
When you make a direct mailing of new item offers to names in your completed file, remove both cards and treat them exactly as if they were new inquiries. Add the new date and note what is being mailed. Temporarily file them in the pending and tickler files after the address labels are prepared and the mailing made. Control from this point is automatic through the normal operation of your filing system. Both cards will eventually end up in the completed file as they did before.
