AFFILIATE MARKETING PRINTERS

Usually printers can do anything which can be handled on his presses and other paper-handing equipment. He frequently offers several different methods of printing and reproduction. He can print on tissue paper or thick cardboard. He can print small pieces or large sheets. He can use any color ink. He can print drawings and photographs. He can reduce or enlarge most copy or artwork. He can print loose sheets or supply them in tablet pads. He can collate, fold, staple, sew, bind, trim, die-cut, emboss and engrave. He can supply stock in any weight, finish, color and quality.
Your printer is your supermarket for all your direct mail advertising materials.
Your printer is one of your best affiliate marketing solution advisers as to choice of paper stock, color of paper and inks, size of your brochures, forms and envelopes. If he provides typesetting services, he can also guide you in selection of size and style of typefaces.
There are basically two types of printing methods. In letterpress, the ink is transferred directly from metal type to paper. In offset, the ink is transferred from a type master or plate to an intermediate material and then to paper.
Letterpress is the oldest method of printing an affiliate marketing solution and was used by Gutenberg in Germany. Basically the process has not changed, although it has been considerably improved in the 500 years since the publication of the Gutenberg Bible.
To print by letterpress, the copy you provide is first composed in metal type by a typesetter. The body copy is commonly composed on a Linotype machine, which has a keyboard similar to a typewriter and produces an entire line of type cast at one time on a metal slug. Other kinds of equipment are used to set display type for headlines. Each letter and punctuation mark is raised above the surface of the slug and is upside down and backwards so when it is printed it reads correctly. The slugs are locked together in a form, which is then mounted on the letterpress. Ink is applied to the surface of the type alternately with the paper upon which the printed impression is made. Electrically operated presses can print several thousand impressions per hour.
Letterpress is most often used for printing affiliate marketing solution business cards, invitations, envelopes, letterheads, blank forms, forms which are interleaved with carbon paper, die-cut novelty items, broadsides, handbills, display cards, shipping cartons and etc. Letterpress is also used to provide several clean sharp proof copies which will be used in preparing camera ready copy for offset plate making. Usually three proofs are supplied unless you specify differently.
Offset printing is the most widely used method of printing today. It is fast, efficient, and capable of high-quality reproduction in large quantities at reasonable cost. Offset is used to print forms, form letters, brochures, pamphlets, newspapers, books, magazines, folders, illustrations, almost anything you could name.
In offset printing, your original camera-ready copy is photographed to obtain a negative. Light is passed through the negative to expose a metal or paper plate, and the plate is developed rather like film to product the type image on it. The negative is stored for future re-use.
